tragedy struck when her friend, a cardiac surgeon, was gunned down by a patient. Since then, she has been active in the leadership of the Michigan
Chapter of Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America and made a bid for US Senate. In this episode, she talks about her experience
in the Sikh community, raising her daughters to be proud of their bicultural identity and how women and mothers can get involved in activism and advocacy.
