Unsung Heroes – Episode 40 – Bangladesh Coming to America

We have a full studio with Bill Meyer, a founder of OneHamtramck and Farha Hanif, Farhan Huq, and Bushrah Rahman, who are all instrumental in working on the first ever large scale mural depicting the experience of Bangladeshi’s in America. We talk about Bangladesh as an often misunderstood and marginalized community and how this project aims to bring a sense of inclusivity and belonging in the multicultural city of Hamtramck. You can find out more through onehamtramck.org and following them @banglamuralproject on Instagram. Donate to the mural which is set to be revealed on June 15 by going to peaceactionmichigan.org and adding a note ‘mural’ with your donation.
