Candle Breathing Technique – Great for Kids and Adults

Hold up your index finger – like its a candle – about 2 inches from your mouth
Deep inhale through your nose.
And then, a quick and full exhale like you are blowing out a candle.
Repeat 5 times.


Snake Breath Technique – Great for Kids and Adults

Make a small hole with your mouth, like you are going use a straw.
Deep inhale through your mouth.
And then, exhale making a “hissing( sound.a quick and full exhale like you are blowing out a candle.
Repeat 5 times.


Journaling Technique
Throughout your day, briefly jot down your “light” reflections:

L – Let go. What are you going to let go of today? (ie: fear, social media scrolling, etc.)
I – Insight. With introspection, what insight have you learned about yourself today?
G – Gratitude. What are you grateful for today?
H – Highlight. What moment was the highlight of your day?
T – Therapy. What did you learn from some sort of self-care activity you did today for your emotional and mental health?
