Heard Podcast, Episode 45 The $60 Taco and $20,000 Tostada Episode

We are joined by Serena Daniels, food journalist and recent recipient of a grant from the Detroit Journalism Engagement Fund for Tostada Magazine. Serena’s mission with Tostada Magazine, “is journalism that speaks to the rich culture of Metro Detroit’s food scene. We seek to shift the focus of food writing in the Detroit area by bringing the voices of our communities to the forefront of the conversation,” (taken from http://tostadamagazine.com). At the center of this conversation is the assumed need for “ethnic food” to be inexpensive and how a taqueria in Dearborn is turning that notion on its head. We love hearing from each and every one of you, so if you have a minute, drop us a line or leave a review on iTunes or wherever you get your podcasts. Don’t forget to follow us on Instagram @heardpodcast. Cheers!
